What about air conditioners with R32 gas?

R32 is a refrigerant widely used in new units, with a lower global warming potential than R410A. Like other fluorinated gases it must be handled by F-gas certified technicians.

Do I need permission to install an air conditioner?

In a condominium the building rules apply and, if the outdoor unit affects the façade, the assembly may need to agree; protected buildings may need authorisations. Check with the building manager and the municipality.

What is pre-installed piping?

Refrigerant lines and drain already run through the walls during construction or renovation. With it, installation is faster and less invasive.
